TRANSITIONS TO COMPLETE EDUCATION

New Hope Charitable Foundation

Thought drives belief.   Belief drives behavior.

What people believe about themselves they become.

"Every person should graduate with a dream in their mind/heart/soul that they believe in and have the confident hope of achieving through their own efforts and choices."

"When we make this a part of our schools' purpose and goals and apply our own efforts to achieve this, we will see the desired results that have previously eluded us."

"Imagine schools involved in helping every student to create and develop their own dreams and vision so that when they each graduate they will take with them their dreams and vision and be able to develop and modify them throughout their entire lives with the absolute conviction that they have the capacity to achieve whichever parts of their dreams and vision they choose."

New Hope Charitable Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to linking educators, parents, employers, and the community to research-based information that can readily be used to assist children, youth, teens, and young adults with many issues, including:

  • emotional support necessary for healthy self-development
  • improvement of sensory skills that are the foundation for all learning
  • experiencing success that leads to sustainable self-esteem
  • awareness of virtually limitless opportunities available/creatable for themselves and for all others

Excellent programs, information and tools already exist. We review articles, research reports, books, studies, and programs to identify at least some of the particularly effective ones -- so that busy professionals working with students and young adults can quickly review large volumes of available information and choose additional “best practices” to examine for possible inclusion in their particular environments.

We work to increase awareness of research in the 12 focus areas listed here.  Also, we provide research, training, materials, and documentaries to families, schools, and the community about things that will increase the success of every child, youth, teen, and young adult. We do not consider unsolicited grant requests.  We do welcome comments and contact, particularly through this site's "Why...? What if...? What do you think?" page.

"Beyond the river of knowledge,
there is an ocean of intuition."

  • intuitive leadership & intuitive teamwork,
  • personal growth & personal commitment to community development
  • desire to fulfill one's own potential & to enable all others to do the same

CAREER TECHNICAL EDUCATION

The United States Department of Labor states that only 30-35% of jobs in the 21st century will require a 4-year college education. What resources and career training options are available for the millions of young people who do not attend a 4-year college?  Research supports career technical education as a viable, valuable option.

How To Use This Site

Whether you’re concerned with PARENTING, TEACHING, CAREER TECHNICAL EDUCATION, or any of the 12 focus areas addressed here, you’ll find:

  • information on the "best practices" currently working for superintendents, principals, coordinators, teachers, parents, and employers
  • synopses of the latest research, books, videos and conferences on education, parenting and career technical education
  • PDF files of research papers, articles and reports

More On Vision

Vision & Learning

Vision-brain skills, or how the brain "processes" visual input should be the first place to look when someone is struggling to learn. The unique Catalyst! Vision & Learning program offers educators a wealth of information and proactive tools to address visual processing difficulties.
